MVP Macro Tesla Mini Marker
Some mini markers are tiny little coins of plastic that technically do the job but also feel like they were designed by someone who hates fun.
The MVP Macro Tesla is not that.
This thing is a mini marker that got tired of being small, hit the gym, drank a suspicious amount of pre-workout, and came back as a throwable little menace. It is a 15 cm, roughly 80 gram Macro version of MVP’s Tesla driver, which means it works as a PDGA-legal mini marker while also being way more fun to actually throw than a normal mini.
Basically, it marks your lie, entertains your friends, and gives you one more object to throw at things in the shop when nobody is looking. Responsible? Debatable. Fun? Absolutely.
What Is It?
The Macro Tesla is a larger mini marker designed for Macro Disc Golf, casual tossing, warm-ups, and marking your lie with more authority than a sad little bottle-cap-sized mini. MVP lists it at approximately 80 grams and 15 cm in diameter, which puts it at the maximum size allowed for PDGA mini markers.
So yes, you can use it to mark your lie. No, you probably should not blame it when you miss the putt immediately after. That part is still very much a you problem.
How Does It Fly?
For a mini marker, the Macro Tesla is shockingly throwable. It has enough stability to handle a real throw, which makes it great for messing around before a round, playing catch, throwing at a Macro basket, or proving to your friends that you can somehow grip-lock a mini just as badly as a full-size driver.
It is not meant to replace your regular driver. Please do not show up to league with only a Macro Tesla and confidence. But for a mini marker, warm-up thrower, or pure disc golf goofball accessory, it is awesome.
Best Uses
- Marking your lie
- Macro Disc Golf
- Casual catch
- Warm-up tosses before a round
- Shop impulse buys
- Disc golf gifts and stocking stuffers
- Players who think normal minis are too tiny and boring
Who Should Buy It?
If you need a marker, like MVP, collect weird disc golf accessories, or simply enjoy owning plastic objects you can throw across a parking lot while saying, “Watch this,” the Macro Tesla belongs in your life.
It is also a great option for newer players who want a mini that is easier to see, easier to pick up, and harder to accidentally leave behind on the course. Not impossible, because disc golfers are talented at losing things, but definitely harder.
BDLD Bottom Line
The MVP Macro Tesla Mini Marker is part marker, part toy, part tiny distance driver with big main-character energy.
It marks your lie legally, throws surprisingly well, and gives your bag one more piece of disc golf nonsense that actually has a purpose.
At Big Dudes Little Discs, we support this kind of behavior. Useful? Yes. Weird? Also yes. Exactly our kind of thing.
