An arachnid is built around control: eight legs, ridiculous coordination, and the ability to move through tight spaces without immediately smashing face-first into whatever happens to be nearby. The Innova Arachnid brings that same energy to the fairway with a glide-heavy, workable midrange flight designed to weave through gaps and keep moving toward the target.

With flight numbers of 5 | 6 | -1 | 1, the Arachnid combines easy carry, gentle turn, and minimal fade into a midrange that can cover a stupid number of useful lines. It is straight enough to trust, workable enough to shape, and glidey enough that you do not need to throw it like you're trying to kill the spider in the corner with the disc itself.

Flight

The 5 speed keeps the Arachnid comfortably in midrange territory. The 6 glide is where this thing starts spinning its web: give it a clean release and it wants to stay airborne, stretching straight shots and shaped lines farther down the fairway with surprisingly little effort.

The subtle -1 turn gives it useful movement without making it wildly understable. Thrown flat, it can push straight with a gentle drift. Put it on a little hyzer and it can stand up and ride. Give it anhyzer and it can hold controlled turnover lines through technical gaps.

The mild 1 fade keeps the finish forward and manageable instead of hooking aggressively at the end. Developing players can get easy, straight midrange distance, while experienced players get a finesse mid for hyzer-flips, turnovers, tunnel shots, and touch approaches.

Plastic

The Innova Arachnid may be available in multiple plastic blends, allowing players to choose the grip, firmness, flexibility, durability, weight, and feel that best match their game. Different plastics and weights can subtly influence stability and ground play, but the core Arachnid formula remains excellent glide, workable turn, minimal fade, and a flight designed to thread its way through the fairway.

Best Uses

  • Straight midrange drives
  • Hyzer-flip tunnel shots
  • Controlled turnovers
  • Technical wooded fairways
  • Touch approaches
  • Standstill midrange shots
  • Low-power placement shots
  • Long gliding approaches
  • Developing players seeking easier distance
  • Experienced players wanting a workable neutral mid
  • Fairways with approximately eight million trees

BDLD Real Talk

The Arachnid is exactly the kind of midrange that makes complicated shots feel suspiciously simple. Six glide means you do not have to beat the hell out of it to get distance. The -1 turn gives it enough movement to shape lines, and the 1 fade means it does not spend the last part of every flight desperately trying to escape left.

That makes it especially useful in the woods. Throw it on hyzer and let it stand up. Release it flat and watch it push. Put it on anhyzer and let it weave around the corner. The Arachnid gives you options, which is helpful because trees have an irritating habit of occupying exactly the line you wanted to throw.

There is a catch: neutral, glidey mids tend to be honest. Release it cleanly and the Arachnid can look brilliant. Grip-lock it into the woods and it will faithfully demonstrate exactly what you did wrong. We'd blame the spider. Unfortunately, this one has witnesses.

Bottom Line

The Innova Arachnid is a glide-heavy, workable 5 | 6 | -1 | 1 midrange built for straight shots, hyzer-flips, turnovers, technical woods lines, and controlled approaches.

Eight legs not included. But if you need something to weave through the woods, the Arachnid knows how to work a web.
