The Axiom Proton Hex Citrus is the straight-flying midrange everyone keeps pretending they do not need because they already have “too many mids.” Cute story. You still probably need this one.
The Hex is known for clean, workable control with enough glide to stretch farther than a midrange has any business stretching. Throw it flat and it pushes straight. Add a little hyzer and it flips up beautifully. Put it on anhyzer and it will hold the line without immediately turning into a rolling apology.
The Proton Citrus run gives the Hex that bright, clean Proton look with excellent durability and a crisp premium feel. Basically, it is a straight midrange with enough style to make your bag look more organized than your life.
Best Uses
- Straight tunnel shots
- Controlled midrange drives
- Hyzer flips and gentle turnovers
- Players who want one midrange that actually does midrange things
BDLD Real Talk: The Hex is one of those discs that makes bad decisions look slightly more planned. It will not fix your form, your putting, or your tendency to argue with trees, but it will absolutely give you a clean, dependable midrange flight when you do your part.
Bottom Line: The Axiom Proton Hex Citrus is glidey, straight, workable, and stupidly useful. If your midrange slot is a chaotic pile of “this one turns too much” and “this one fades into another county,” the Hex is probably the adult in the room.
